Bespoke Service

Let us know your interests, ideal dates and duration, and preferred flights, and we’ll create the perfect Madrid holiday just for you.

Day 1

Welcome to Madrid

Welcome to Spain’s capital. After arrival at the airport, take a private transfer to your hotel to check-in.

During the afternoon, you’ll have plenty of free time to start exploring the city. Whatever your interests, we can advise you of the best things to do during your time in Madrid. From the Baroque to the brash, and from the cultural to the culinary, our tours in Madrid have been carefully created to highlight the many different faces of this unique city.

Day 2

Monuments, palaces & more…

Our guided tours of Madrid are always individually tailored to your specific interests. We’ll help you narrow down the long list of elegant monuments and palaces to just those very special highlights that bring out the best of this metropolis.

A favourite place to start is the Plaza Mayor, a 17th-century square lined with redbrick buildings and always awash with a lively buzz. Maybe your interests lie in the 18th-century Royal Palace (Palacio Real). It could be the gardens of the Parque Buen Retiro, or even in the grand Puerta de Alcala that marks the old city entrance.

Day 3

Museums in Madrid

When it comes to art, Madrid has plenty.

The Prado Museum is undoubtedly one of the greatest museums in the world. It exhibits over 1,500 paintings from the likes of Goya, Velázquez and El Greco. You could easily spend days in this museum and still not see everything.

Other museums definitely worth a visit are the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, the Queen Sofía National Arts Centre and the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts.

Day 3

More Art & Culture

There are plenty of other options to soak up Madrid’s culture. Try the Municipal Museum of Contemporary Art, the Avant Garde exhibitions of the 4-storey CentroCentro, and the modern Matadero arts centre, housed in a former slaughterhouse of all places!

Football fans can take in a tour of the colossal Bernabeu Stadium, home to La Liga giants, Real Madrid. Or if you’re looking for something a little less lively, soak up the solace of the Retiro Park, complete with boating lake and coffee shops.

Day 4

Shopping in Madrid

Madrid has some of the best shopping in Spain, with some fantastic local brands as well as the very best from international designers.

Today we head to the iconic Puerta del Sol marking the very centre of Spain. Six of Spain’s main roads start here and distances along them are measured from the stone slab set at Kilometre Zero. Close by you’ll find several large department stores offering an incredible range of items, and providing you with the chance to buy something special to take home as a reminder of your amazing three nights in Madrid.

Today, at the appointed time, transfer from the hotel to the airport to take your flight back home.

Tapas & more

Madrid Nightlife

Evening strolls interspersed with a few tapas are an important part of the culture of Madrid. But how do you spot the tourist traps from the genuine article? Instead of stalking a group of locals, we’ll provide you with our insider knowledge of where to go – and where to avoid. Our personal favourites are along the streets of Calle Ponzano, Calle Huertas, and Calle Cava Baja in the La Latina area.

There are also many atmospheric markets with fantastic, down-to-earth eateries serving food fresh from the land or sea, such as the famous El Tarantin de Lucio seafood restaurant in the Anton Martin Market, or the tiny DP Tapas eatery within the San Ildefonso Market on Calle Fuencarral.

Escape the city

Excursions from Madrid

Although it might be hard to tear yourself away from the magic of Madrid, there are several day trips away from the city’s hustle and bustle that will help recharge your batteries.

Segovia is one of the most popular day-trip destinations from Madrid, a medieval city just half an hour by high speed train and housing a famous 2nd century stone aqueduct and a fairy tale castle. The charming, narrow streets of lovely Segovia are also within a half-hour train ride, while the mountain-top houses of Cuenca are just an hour away. And of course, if you’d like to extend your stay on this 4-day Madrid tour, we’ll gladly arrange it for you.

Get in touch

We don’t deal in one-size-fits-all holidays. We build amazing journeys tailored just for you. But before we can do that, we need to know about you – what excites you, what are your ‘must-sees’ and ‘must do’s’, and conversely, what do you want to avoid or what makes you feel indifferent. We don’t do indifferent, and neither should you!
